Welcome to The Trust for Public Land’s Impact Toolbox. This site contains the tools that allow you to locate, sketch and analyze existing and potential projects. It is intended to be used by staff throughout the organization. Users are able to generate stats on completed projects as well as potential projects.
Project Impact Tool
The Project Impact Tool allows users to sketch a future/potential project’s boundary and place access points. After submitting the information, the tool calculates a dynamic 10-minute (1/2 mile) walk service area and calculates the number of people served within that area. For future/potential trail projects, see the Trail Evaluator Tool below.
Project Summary Tool
The Project Summary Tool allows users to select one or more completed projects by state, county, city, zip code or user defined area. Once submitted, the tool returns population stats on the total number of people served for the project’s (or projects’) 10-minute (1/2 mile) walk service area(s).
Trail Evaluator Tool
The Trail Evaluator Tool allows users to sketch a future/potential trail segment and place (or auto-generate) access points. After submitting the information, the tool calculates a dynamic 10-minute (1/2 mile) walk service area and calculates the number of people served within that area.
